Introducing Rachel Barnes

Hi, I'm Rachel Barnes... I've been a regular presenter with Property Women since early 2007, and I loved it so much that in 2008 I bought into the Company!

My partner (John Fowler) and I purchased our first investment property using less than $5000 of home equity as a deposit.  Within 7 years, and with no savings, we have purchased 75 properties across Australia and New Zealand and we still holds 70 of them.

When I left my employment to be a full time property investor back in 2004, many people told me that I was lucky. Initially I resented that assumption, but then I realised that they were right; I make my own luck!

Between Property Women events, my partner and I have been travelling to the USA and Greece looking for more challenging property investments.  To date we haven't finalised any purchasers - but I can tell you it's been so much FUN.

I believe that whatever you choose to do should give you joy - and I practise what I preach which is why I love being a Properrty Woman!
